We are delighted to have you here! Our mission is to share the transformative power of Yoga and Arts & Crafts to help children reduce stress and regulate their emotions. We believe in fostering wellness while instilling values of mindfulness, creativity, and confidence.
Our Program
Our classes are designed to deliver a meaningful experience for children by integrating Yoga with Arts & Crafts. Each class allows participants to explore different themes, yoga postures, breathing techniques, and creative crafts. We have separate classes for children ages 2 to 6 and 6 to 12. Our classes include 30 minutes of Yoga followed by 30 minutes of Arts & Crafts. This class structure ensures a balanced and enriching experience for children. Our classes accommodate up to 12 students and are available in at Schools, Libraries and Community Centers.
Yoga
Yoga for children should be a fun and engaging experience. In our classes we focus on introducing fundamental concepts of mindfulness, movement and relaxation in a fun and accessible way. It helps children develop strength, flexibility and balance while also cultivating focus, self-awareness and emotional regulation. Through playful poses, breathing exercises, and imaginative themes, children's yoga encourages creativity and boosts confidence, fostering a positive connection to their bodies and minds. This holistic approach not only promotes physical health but also supports emotional well-being, making it an invaluable tool for young learners as they navigate their daily lives.

Arts & Crafts
Integrating arts and crafts into our yoga classes enriches children's learning experience by fostering creativity and offering a powerful tool for self-regulation. Engaging children in creative projects allows them to explore their imagination reinforcing the yoga lessons. Arts and crafts can also provide a tactile and visual complement to yoga, helping children cope with their emotions and self-regulate. This integration also provides a more enjoyable and enriching way for children to enhance their overall learning.

Why Integrate Yoga
and Arts & Crafts?
When I initially envisioned this yoga program, my goal was to provide dynamic classes with occasional arts and crafts to support shy students in expressing their emotions. However, I quickly noticed that children love engaging in new art projects, and they wait for this creative moment. This new approach increased their interest in my classes and helped them increase their ability to concentrate for longer periods of time.

Social Skills
Young children can have short attention spans! They are fast and their focus tends to drop drastically after 30 minutes. Incorporating arts and crafts as a complementary activity helps children remain engaged while having fun! This method has also deepened my relationship with students, allowing me to offer them more individualized attention while they are working on their crafts.

I believe Yoga and Arts & Crafts can be seamlessly integrated, enhancing each other beautifully. Each class features different themes, helping children work on the physical aspect of yoga, but also integrating other important lessons about kindness, respect for all beings, and a spirit of collaboration.
Age Groups
Ages 2 to 6
​
Yoga for this age group should be simple and playful. Their postures must be carefully chosen. At this age, children still have soft bones, and they can perform a maximum of 4 yoga postures per class and 2 to 3 different types of breath-work. Their experience of yoga must be playful and fun. It is crucial to incorporate visuals, games, storytelling, and music. Children at this age can usually only focus for only 2 to 3 minutes maximum in each activity. At this age they still nurture fantasies, so their classes should be playful.

Ages 6 to 12

Children at this age still love fantasy but they must be more connected to reality. They have high energy levels, and they can engage in more complex yoga postures and sequences that build strength, flexibility, and coordination. They like to express their emotions and yoga provides a safe space for them to explore and articulate their feelings through heart-opening poses and creative activities.

Benefits of Yoga for Children​
Yoga it is a powerful way to help children connect with their bodies and regulate their emotions. Through yoga, children can amplify body awareness and mobility, helping them with concentration and relaxation. If a child learn these tools powerful at an early age, they can be more prepared to face life's challenges

Art & Crafts
After the yoga practice we have a 30-minute craft activity. Our crafts are simple and fun, allowing children to create something special in every class. We focus on using, recyclable materials and embrace the philosophy of simplicity, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience with child-friendly, non-toxic supplies. Our activities are thoughtfully curated to align with children's cognitive milestones, making them perfect for workshops and birthday parties!

We are committed to serving the community and enhancing your events with fun and creative activities. We are currently accepting bookings for weekend workshops and birthday parties. To learn about our theme packages, please email us at upsidedownyogakids@gmail.com
When inquiring about our services, please provide all necessary details, including the number of participants and their age groups. We prioritize children's safety and ensure the protection of our students. Our class capacity is 12 students. For bigger groups, we request an assistant teacher to ensure safety, and additional costs will be communicated via email.
